Kraftyhands Live!

Kraftyhands are on Create and Craft at 9am and 11am today! You'll get to see lots of really pretty cards and projects by the Design Team as well as purchase the set of CDs to add to your crafty stash.

I particularly love all the backing papers on the second disc - lots of pretty roses and tiny posey prints, all in yummy pastel shades of pink, blue, lilac, green and yellow.  I can see myself using these papers for many cards, and not just with the toppers, decoupage and other elements on the CDs.

Tune in if you have chance - I'll be at work so will see if I can take a sneaky peak via the internet, but am recording the shows ready to watch this evening :-)

Here are a couple more of the samples I made for the show using those pretty papers.

I am adding this to the Make It Monday - Linky Party #113

Hunkydory - shaped card blank
Spellbinder - square bracket edge box, classic circles

Hi Everyone!  Exciting news to share today - Mike and Ian from Kraftyhands will be making their TV Debut on Create and Craft tomorrow, and will be on at 9am and 11am.  They will be showing a gorgeous new double CD set which you will love - its full of toppers, beautiful background papers and lots more (I can't tell all as that would spoil the surprise!)

The Kraftyhands Design Team have been lucky enough to have a chance to play with this CD set so you will see some lovely samples on the show tomorrow.  Its always amazing to see the different ideas that people have with the same set of products, so I am really looking forward to seeing all the cards and projects tomorrow and on all of our blogs.

Here is one of my cards using elements from a card set on CD 1 - I have used the decoupage pieces to make a card in the shape of a shop.  I'll be sharing the rest of my samples over the next few days, but I hope you've enjoyed this one!

Merry Christmas from London

I spotted a fun Christmas challenge on the Winter Wonderland blog called "Across the Miles" and thought that a card with something to do with London on it would fit the bill (seeing as that is where I live, and I've managed to collect a fair few London/Union Jack/Jubilee crafty bits over the last year).

I love this stamp by Penny Black, and decided I would try to turn it into a snowy, wintry scene by combining it with some blue papers from a yummy Polkadoodles CD, and just a touch of colour from some Copics - and this is what I came up with!  I'm sure that I could have given it a more wintry feel with more colour and inks, but I quite like the clean fresh look of all the white with just a hint of colour.  What do you think?

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Fun Fabric

I bought some London Jubilee inspired fabric at the weekend, which I thought I would share with you.  I'm intending to make a bag with it, using a pattern from the book "The Bag Making Bible" by Lisa Lam, so now I just need to get the other bits n bobs needed and find some time to make it! So watch this space!
