Paper Panda 1st Blogaversary Candy

Its been a year!  My Paper Panda blog has been here for a year on the 17th February!  Its been great fun, I've made lots of crafting friends, received wonderful comments on my work - all really appreciated, so thank you all!  I've enjoyed inspiration from the vast crafty blogland, I've entered some fun challenges - some have pushed me a bit out of my comfort zone, and some I've even won!

I've also been lucky enough to join some design teams, working with some very talented crafty people, sharing all our projects with you - and I hope to be able to continue doing so!

Its Anything Goes at Pennys Paper-Crafty Challenge

I got to use these fun Eureka digi images (the cat and sentiment) this week, and decided to go for something bright and cheery as the cat looks like he is sitting outside enjoying his drink in the sun!  I used Distress Inks, blending tool and a piece of paper to create the sun rays, coloured him in with my copics and here you go - something you might need your sunglasses for!

Vintage Purple Pearls

Well today is the day!  You can tune into Create and Craft at 1pm and 6pm today and see the launch of the new Vintage Treasures CD from Kraftyhands!

This is the last of my samples for the CD, so I hope you like the card and matching bag I have to share with you today.  Its all purple and pretty and yes I have used the pearl maker pen :-)  You wouldn't believe how much I have used these pens recently! :-)

Vintage Rose

Its almost time for the new Vintage Treasures CD from Kraftyhands to be launched on Create and Craft - tomorrow at 1pm and 6pm!  

For this card I have gone a bit shabby chic - well my version of shabby anyway, I'm sure its still quite clean to most of you!  I used a good old faithful distress ink to ink up the edges of the card, paper (which already has some distressing around the edge) and decoupage, stuck the mats and layers on at angles, added a few self adhesive pearls (see no Waco Pearl Maker pen, but yes pearls...) and there you have it! A fairly quick and simple card!

Lacy Sunshine #2 - Favourite Colour Combination

Morning! Its time for the launch of the 2nd Lacy Sunshine challenge!  The theme is Favourite Colour Combination and will run from 17th February - 2nd March. You'll find all the rules over on the blog, but basically if you enjoy using digi stamps or rubber stamps you will enjoy playing along!

The prize is a $30 voucher to spend in the Lacy Sunshine Shop where you will be able to stock up on Heather's yummy digi images, and a winners blinkie.  There will also be a Top Three who will each receive a blinkie and 2 of Heather's digis.

As you can see from the photo I chose pink, white and grey for my favourite colour combination - I have a few favourite combos, but for these images it just had to be pink!  I wasn't sure what I was going to do with these digis at first, then I had an idea of seeing if I could find a circus tent shape for my Silhouette Cameo - so it was off to the online store and look what I found! Vintage Blue Frame

Evening! Vintage Green

Evening! Here is another card I made using the new Vintage Treasures CD from Kraftyhands, and not a Waco Pearl Maker pen pearl in sight!  I kept this one very simple by using a backing paper, a card background and a couple of embellisments stuck on with dimensional glue.

Pink Blossom

This is Sky Lynn, one of Heather Valentin's new digis and isn't she beautiful!  You can find her over at the Lacy Sunshine Shop.  When I saw this digi I knew that I wanted to use the Spellbinders Cherry Blossom die set with it, and also some Japanese papers that I am lucky enough to have in my stash.  Then I remembered that I had some wood "paper" somewhere in amongst all the paper I have!  Its actually very thin slivers of wood, so I stuck some onto a piece of card to be able to die cut the branches from it and added lots of blossom to finish the design.

Vintage Blue Panels

Morning!   Here is a card I made using the new Vintage Treasures CD from Kraftyhands, and only 3 pearls made using the Waco Pearl Maker pen this time!  For this one I blew up and printed out an embellisment 3 times to be the main focal point of the card, and you can see there is no loss of clarity in the images even when you print them out much larger than the original, so you really can make the most of the CD and use it however you want to!   

Its just over a week until Mike and Ian show you the CD on Create and Craft TV, so tune in on Tuesday 19th February at 1pm and 6pm to take a look.

Have a Happy Panda Birthday!

I was so excited to get the new Eleanor & Pickles Panda Bear digi from Lacy Sunshine as I love anything and everything to do with Giant Pandas!  After colouring the image I decided to cut Eleanor out (sorry Pickles - next time I promise you'll be on the card!) and make something very pink!

Something a bit different for today!  I made this card for the Simply Betty Stamps Facebook group challenge using the Steampunk Rio digi.  I'm still not quite sure about the completed card, maybe I should have put some of the sprocket dies on with dimensional glue rather than flat?  But I do like the colours and Rio is a fun little character!

Kraftyhands February Challenge - Spring Colours

Its the start of a new month (where did January go?), so its time for a new challenge over at Kraftyhands.
