Kraftyhands 12 Days of Christmas - A Partridge in a Pear Tree

Morning!  Today I would like to share some more samples from the new Kraftyhands "The 12 Days of Christmas" CD.  You can see from the photo above that I go a bit carried away with this set (and I have ideas for more!)

If you tune into Create and Craft today at 1pm and 6pm you can see Mike and Ian launching the CD.  I'll be watching the recordings later as I'll be at work when the shows are on - but it gives me something to look forward to watching later :-)

Lacy Sunshine #14 - Favourite Things

It's time for a new challenge over at Lacy Sunshine!  The theme is Favourite Things - use your favourite things, and make sure you tell us what they are in your blog post.

For my card I have used one of my favourite characters in the Lacy Sunshine range - Coco, I think she is adorable, and I love her hair!

When I was thinking about making this card, it was going to be all pink, silver and sparkly - but while looking through my Chirstmas paper stash for some background papers I found this cute Cookin' Cookies paper from NitWit which I just had to use!  So a completely different look than I had planned!

Anyone can enter the challange, but your image must be hand coloured and only entries using a Lacy Sunshine image will be eligible for the winner's prize - a fabulous $30 voucher to spend in the Lacy Sunshine Shop where you will be able to stock up on Heather's gorgeous digi images, and you get a winners blinkie for your blog. Kraftyhands August Challenge - Anything Goes

Wow! August already!  And the weather we are having in the UK - mini heatwave I would say as we definitely don't normally get weather like this! 

So, the first Saturday in the month = the start of a new challenge over at Kraftyhands!

Sunshine

Wow! How hot is it here in the UK at the moment!  Us Brits are never happy - we complain when its cold, when its raining, when its snowing - all we want is the sun, then when we get it... well its too darned hot! 

So as the sun is shining, what better time to share this card I made recently using a really cute Bugaboo image of a girl going on vacation!  And although its pink, I have used yellow which is not a colour I would normally pick.  Its all part of my use up the card in my stash (all that core'dinations card that is not pink, purple and blue - as those are the ones I always use, and end up with a stash of all the others...) So I teamed up some sunny paper and yellow card and this is the end result!

You might look at this card, and think - spots and stripes? Where?  Well, I decided to do something a bit different to using spotty and stripey paper (which is what I originally started thinking of).  So my stripes are in the sun rays and on the surf board, and the spots are all the dots in the sun rays.  What do you think?  Does that count as spots and stripes? :-)

Peacock Swirls

Something a little bit different for me today - and no pink!  Making this card enabled me to meet two challenges I had set myself this week 1) if I buy a particular type of craft item, for example a rubber stamp, then I can't buy a new one until I've used the last one I bought - so here I've used the peacock swirl die which dropped through the letter box a couple of days ago and 2) to make cards in colours other than pink!  I realised that in all my stack of Core'Dinations card that the colours I am always using are the pinks and purples - so time to use up some of the others!

Eleanor Does The Charleston

Morning!  Today's card features a fabulous new Lacy Sunshine digi - Eleanor Flapper.  There are a few digis in the Gatsby range including Lady Maddie and 1920's Emily Draindrops - I love them all!

I decided that I need to make more cards that aren't pink! So I used brown and teal blue, one of my other favourite colour combinations for this, and found some perfect papers from DCWV in my stash!

Afternoon my crafty blog friends! Well, as I sit typing this post, its sunny and a little on the warm side out so I thought sharing this card with you was perfect!

I used the Eleanor & Pickles Diggin Clams digi from Lacy Sunshine and created a scene in Serif Craft Artist Professional - I think I would quite like to be at the beach right now :-)
