Lacy Sunshine #18 - Stitching Real or Faux

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge over at Lacy Sunshine!  The theme is Stitching Real or Faux.  I have used faux stitching which you have probably spotted on my cards a few times before as its a favourite of mine!  Though I really must get out that mini craft sewing machine that I have had for hmmm.... ages... and give real stitching on cards a go!

Anyone can enter the challenge, but your image must be hand coloured - the winners prize is 5 digi images of choice from the Lacy Sunshine Shop and a winners blinkie for your blog. There will also be a Top Three who will each receive a blinkie and 1 of Heather's digis.

It's the weekend! Yay! Kraftyhands - Craft Nouveau Happy Birthday Sister

 

Happy Tuesday!  Today I thought I would share another card from the new Kraftyhands Craft Nouveau CD.  This is one of my favourites from the samples I have made - I love the colours of the backing papers, and isn't the lady pretty!

You can see the launch of the CD on Create and Craft on Tuesday 1st October at 11am and 3pm, so I hope you can tune in.  The Design Team have created some fab samples - it always amazes me how we all come up with such different things from the same "ingredients".

Kraftyhands - Craft Nouveau CD launch

Kraftyhands next TV product launch is the gorgeous Craft Nouveau CD.  Its full of fabulous images, background papers, card sets, inserts and sentiments - I have to say I really love all the papers as they can be used for so many projects!  And when it comes to deciding which images to use first, well that will leave you with a dilemma!

The CD launches on Create and Craft on Tuesday 1st October - shows are planned for 11am and 3pm, so I hope you can tune in and see Mike and Ian demonstrate the CD and show us all the fab samples the Design Team has created!

There is so much than you can do with the elements on this CD, so I'll be sharing some of the cards I have made over the next few days - I hope you like them!

Friday the 13th - Lady Heather's Curiosities

 

Friday the 13th... are you superstitious?  Particularly when it comes to Friday the 13th???  Me - I am undecided...

 

Today I have something a little different to share with you.  This is Sadie, a digi image from Heather Valentin, who a lot of you will know from Lacy Sunshine and her cute characters - particularly Eleanor and Pickles!  Heather also likes to have a bit of fun with some quirky / darker images and has created a new range of digis to tempt you with.

 

Now me... well I tend to like clean and pretty so I know that my card is not as "out there" as some that you will see from the Lacy Sunshine Design Team on the Lacy Sunshine blog - take a look at the fab video of all the samples!  Sadie was great fun to colour - I LOVE her hair - but I think I have come up with something that is still quite pretty!  So thank you Heather for picking the perfect image for me to have a play with!

Kraftyhands September Challenge - A Sketch

Morning!  The first Saturday of September - the year is certainly rushing by!  So, the first Saturday in the month = the start of a new challenge over at Kraftyhands!

Morning!  Well, I am slowly working my way through the toppers in the gorgeous Hunkydory Decadent Days kit, so its a pink creation I have to share with you today.

Sorry about the glare in the photo from the mirri card, no matter where I stood, or how I positioned the card I couldn't seem to make that any better - so if anyone has any tips or tricks I'll be very happy to receive them!

Angel of Peace

How gorgeous is this Peace Angel from the new Polkadoodles Angelberry range!  The very generous peeps at Polkadoodles are offering a free Angelberry digi image so that you can take part in this week's blog challenge - so I was very happy when she popped into my inbox!  She is just beautiful!

I picked some backing papers from a couple of Polkadoodles CDs, coloured  her in and then set to make the card.  I tried so many different layouts, with die cut holly, stars and allsorts - but eventually I went for this simple design which is fast becoming one of my favourites (in fact you will see the same layout tomorrow on a DT challenge card).
