It's Thursday, so you know what that means - yes, we are in the second week of the latest challenge over at Aud Sentiments! The challenges are always about having a sentiment on your project -it may be a specific sentiment or a theme, and this time you need to use a Spring or Easter Sentiment.
I chose a pretty flower stamp to use along with the sentiment " Refresh Renew Rejoice" as to me that is what spring is all about - flowers and the new!

You can then paint over it, and once all dry rub the blue gum off with your fingers to reveal the white paper and paint as normal. I had great fun with this, and although its far from perfect, I was pretty happy with the result!
Each challenge lasts two weeks, and this one is sponsored by Great Impressions
I am adding this to the following:
Cute Card Thursday - #361 Floral Delight
Through The Craft Room Door - 17 - 23 February
Addicted to CAS - #57 Code Word: MASK

Stamp set - Indescribable Gifts
Markers - strawberry slush, tempting turquoise, always artichoke, old olive, chocolate chip
Card - strawberry slush, old olive
Other materials - Pebeo drawing gum
Mandy - what a beautiful group of flowers! I loved that you shared how you use the Pebeo drawing gum... have never done that - it is now on a list of must tries! Being able to color right up to the edge of your flowers like that is a real boon! Makes a stunning spring card!

That's awesome. I've never heard of the gum stuff for a mask. Where did you get it from? Your card is lovely. Thanks for joining us last week at Through the Craft Room Door. I hope you will join us for the new challenge that starts today.
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy, I bought the Pebeo drawing gum from Crafters Companion in the UK. Theyu do have a a US website too, but not sure if theuy have it on there. There is a product called Fineline Masking Fluid that I would love to try as it has a very fine tip for application - in the US you can get that from Simon Says Stamp.
DeleteHope that helps,
