Reflections

Monday again, the start to another working week for many of us.  Today I have a card made using the Traveler stamp set, some masking and a reflection technique.

First of all I stamped the ship onto a craft sheet, then placed a piece of card on top of it being careful to place the card so that the image would be in the bottom half and gently rubbed over the card to pick up the image of the ship.  This gave a lighter image, which I could then match up with the reinked stamp and add in the main image.  I then punched out a circle of post it tape to make a mask for a moon, and sponged some layers of ink onto the card to create the sky and sea.

Stampin' Up! Materials Used:
Stamp sets - Traveler,  Watercolor Wings
Ink Pads - Soft Suede, Soft Sky, Marina Mist and a sneeky peek of a new In-Colour Dapper Denim
Card - Whisper White, Whisper White thick card, Soft Suede
Punch - 1 3/4" circle

Vintage Leaves

Hello my crafting friends!  Today I have made a card suitable for both men and women, all year round - spring and summer, autumn, thanksgiving, and these leaves could also be paired up with some flower stamps or punches to make a pretty card.

On some of the leaf images I inked the stamp in the lighter colour ink, then inked some of the edges up with a darker/different colour to give a two tone effect.  I think this would work well with the baby wipe ink pad technique and ink refills to create a lovely blended image - maybe I will try that out soon!

Stamp sets - Vintage Leaves, Guy Greetings
Ink pads - Tangerinr Tango, Old Olive, Soft Suede
